Currently, I work with the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service in Anchorage, Alaska. As our Habitat Program lead for Southeast Alaska, I work with partners to restore priority fish and wildlife habitat primarily on Tribal lands.
My prior work at USFWS entailed restoring degraded ecosystems on the Great Lakes and addressing aquatic connectivity across the Lake Superior Basin. Prior to that, I completed Master's degrees in both Water Resources Management and Freshwater & Marine Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
My research has allowed me to gain well rounded perspectives on fisheries and water resource management by working in a variety of ecosystems ranging from small-scale fish habitat restoration projects to large-scale fish migrations on Lake Michigan.
My broad interests lie in fisheries management and ecology, habitat restoration, ecotoxicology, water quality, and contaminant risk through fish consumption. I am interested in understanding and mitigating anthropocentric impacts, so that we can live with and adapt responsibly to the changing world around us while maintaining our precious water resources and natural systems.
